We center Tribal sovereignty as foundational, recognizing the inherent authority of Nations, Pueblos, & Tribes to govern, define, and guide systems that impact their children, families, and communities. All work is grounded in respect for Tribal jurisdiction and self-determination.
We approach systems work with compassion that is active and operational—not symbolic. This means engaging systems in ways that recognize human impact, reduce harm, and support practices which strengthen the holistic well-being of Indigenous children and families.
We recognize that meaningful systems change requires humility—listening deeply, acknowledging complexity, and understanding that no single role or perspective holds all answers. This principle guides how relationships are built and how technical assistance and training are delivered.

We honor Indigenous knowledge systems, community expertise, and lived experience as essential sources of authority. Effective implementation must reflect and integrate the knowledge of the communities most directly impacted by these systems.

We focus on closing the gap between written policy and operational practice. Laws such as ICWA and New Mexico's IFPA must be consistently applied in practice to be meaningful. Accountability is measured by what happens in systems—not only what is written in statute.

Our work is grounded in a long-term view of impact. We are not only addressing present-day system gaps, we are also working to shape structures that will support Indigenous families for generations to come. This includes building capacity that outlasts individual initiatives and strengthens enduring systems of care and responsibility.
We work with Tribal governments, State agencies, CASAs, and family-service providers seeking to improve ICWA and IFPA implementation within child welfare systems.
